I should have uploaded this earlier, but here's a great drawing André left on our dry-erase board in our kitchen. We didn't find it until they were gone a few days - Violet found it and freaked out she was so happy! Nice nails/tentacles in the head!

Impera et Divide is a show at Second Street Gallery in Charlottesville VA, USA focusing on contemporary international comics and sequential art with a highlight on a group of artists who come at comics from a different angle - combining sequences of images and words to create graphic poems rather than graphic novels. Relying on destabilizing and decentering strategies, this work offers rich, multivalent, and at times baffling reading experiences.
This show is curated by U.S. artist Warren Craghead III and Portuguese critic Pedro Moura. Here's Warren's site. And Pedro's blog (Portuguese only, sorry!)
